About the Classes:

Drawing is a great way to develop perceptual and creative skills which can then be applied to any career or day to day life.

Creative brain training!

It’s a way to bring forward the sub dominant creativity we all have and use it to improve our emotive, inventive abilities. This is a challenge. Have a go.

I decided to run classes to share all my favourite exercises for drawing and creativity; condensing 20 or so years of going to various schools, classes and arty events and opinion into 1 or 2 hour sessions.

Classes are founded on traditional life drawing session exercises, but making it a bit more fun. There are both adult and childrens sessions but both sessions follow similar class structure.

• Guided 1 to 20 minute studies focusing on different technical and emotive skills
• interesting dressed models, as well as nude life models for the adult sessions.
• Please note that all nude life models for the adult classes are professional models who also work at universities etc. around Hampshire.
• Most sessions will be run at my home and art studio, but can also be varied venues - especially for larger groups over 10 or art parties - i.e. pubs, church hall etc.
• Topics vary with some outdoor sessions focusing on landscapes. Some guided and some unled sessions.
• a relaxed atmosphere with social time after. I.e lounging on a sofa with a sketch pad, or at a pub with a pint and a sketch pad  :-)
• I encourage the group to show their drawings and share their thoughts, as well as giving informal critique and sharing my own doodles from the classes.

For the experienced: continued practise, inspiration and chance to draw some different models.

For beginners: learn the fundamental elements of drawing, and find out about the tricks of the trade that artists use to open creative pathways.

You don't have to have had any drawing classes before; people who have enjoyed it have been a door security guy, car sales man, make up artist, architect, University professors and animation students, Master of Fine Art graduate, professional artists ...

Most sessions are 2 hours, but see the schedule for variations: beginner, advanced sessions, topic based, portraiture, unled sessions, party nights etc.
