Jazz night: Ricky Eastman and the Angel Hart Quartet

Tonight we are going to go to the King Street Tavern with sketch pads and have some fun drawing the live jazz performers n crowd... slightly different challenge :) The band starts at 8.30 but I will be there from 8pm to get a table. Ricky is a great sax player and definitely interesting character to draw! http://www.thekingstreettavern.co.uk/

For our valentines treat we have the fabulous drag queen Sally Monella modelling for us!

Fun session for all levels, with 1 minute 3 min and 5 minute studies to exercise your creativity. For those wanting to stay for the second hr, a couple of 10-20 min exercises . £6 1 hr, or stay for 2 £12. Plus hang out have drinks, nibbles n chat.

Art Class with Bachata/Salsa Party Night!!!

• 6pm Arrive for art class

• 6.15pm  - 7.15pm Perceptual and creative brain training drawing class: Bachata dance couple modelling for fun 1 hr class. Fun session especially suited to beginners - but still a fab challenge for the pros.

• 7.30pm - 9.00pm

  • Buffet:  Food from Dominican Republic & South America.

  • Bachata intro class, and performance.

  • Bachata is a dance style that originated in the Dominican Republic, but the version danced here is a little different. Here is an example of bachata, but of course, we will just be covering the basic steps!!)

• 9.00pm - 2 am Latin dance party (and buffet continued...) (Merengue, bachata, salsa and maybe a bit of reggaeton, and then we can always complicate things and do bachata-tango and, well, tango; anything else?? ...)

1 hour Perceptual and creative brain training:

Model: Male boxer just in shorts and with boxing gloves. Yeh, muscles to draw :) !

Please arrive 10 minutes early for set up and registration.

£6 pp. Discounted rate of £4 for students, unemployed, income support with proof.

Followed by Social in the garden / BBQ (weather dependant, & contributions of nibbles/drinks welcome). 2pm-4pm.

Salsa Dancer - 2 hour perceptual and creative brain training. £12.00

Burlesque Dancer, 1 hour class followed by social. BYOB bottle wine/drink if you like.

2 hour class with Male life model in dynamic poses.

This class is part of the Big Draw Campaign which runs nationally throughout October.

SCHEDULE:

• 6.15pm - Sign in and set up.
• 6.30pm - 7.30pm - Class. Professional Belly Dancer will model for the 1 hour class. Including 3 minute movement study.
• 7.35pm - 7.50pm people coming for after class performance/buffet/party/charitable donation session (£8), please arrive now!
• 7.30pm -9.30 pm Buffet and refreshments: Turkish and Egyptian Meze Buffet and refreshments.
• 8pm - Belly Dance Performance (maybe with two dancers!) followed by socialising.
• 9.30pm til late. After performance and buffet please feel free to stay on for after party with latin dance.

  Profits go to 'Keep a Child Alive' charity included. You will also be able to make donations to the charity through Just Giving if you are not attending the class or social.
